Damn, England and Italy beats Germany 2:1

Dang, thought our demonstration against Iraq War in Berlin was big altough we had lousy whether conditions ( still cold feet here), got 500 00 thousant at Brandenburger Tor but Rom and London saw 1 Million each !

Wtg :)

canbera got 50 000, Melbourne 150 000,  many more in more than 60 cities all over the word.

Biggest demonstrations ever since Vietnam War.

Well, that may support our american friends at NY and Frisco on their struggle against warmongers.

Regards Blitz

btw from what i saw Berlin demonstration was all against Bush administration , not against America

What is even worse is that they are all demonstrating for Saddam...and they dont even realize it. They think they are marching "against war" not "for Saddam", but they fail to realize that those are the two sides of the same coin.

It is a shameful day for the western civilization.

It's a good day for the world and for humanity.

Hope that horrible embargo politic on Iraq people stopps soon and is replaced by a more smart embargo which hits the saddam  hussein regime , not the kids of Iraq.

Wrong! I suggest bush administration will put some form of soft economical 'war' on those who resist them to get us back in the line and Germany is an export nation.....

Imagine it was 1938 and all those people were demonstrating against war against Hitler.

They would still have been wrong.

I guess it is ok to let him murder and brutalize for 10 more years. I can sleep ok now. I wonder if the people in his prisons are?

Ahoi,

Iraq was supported by the USA in first place and the west in general for a  long period and he was the same bloddy dictator in those days. His friends didn't care as he used chemical weapons against iran.

Sadam Hussein is an isane, unhuman dictator and if he dies wether in bed or with a bullet in his forehead no1 will weep for him that's for sure but to say Iraq is threathening America is rediculous.

The way bush-fire administration  try to force the world and even their friends to do what they want makes a lot of people feel uncomfortabe and these demonstrations shows it.

Why would Iraq attack a country like U.S ?   Just for fun?

I don't think so. Saddam is a lunatic dictator but I don't think he is stupid.

They did attack Iran and that one didn't go too well, even thought U.S and its allies weren't too worry about Mr.Hussein and his war against Iran and its leader Ajatollah Khomenei.

They did attack Kuwait and that one didn't work too well either.

There's still countries like Saudi-Arabia, Jordan, Turkey and Syria they could try their luck thought I don't think that's gonna happen.

So tell me again why should U.S attack Iraq?

Seriously though the dye is cast the war is here. Hopefully it won't be  too costly in lives for either side...But I'm afraid it will be.

I believe you're right on the first statements although I'm sure that many of them are indeed aware that opposing war is indirectly supporting Saddam. It's just that they have weighed the obvious pro's of ending Saddam's reign against their understandable aversion to war and have decided that the former ain't worth the latter. So be it, i don't agree with them as many others but they have formed an opinion and they are entitled to showing it.
Therefore it is not at all a shameful day for the western civilization, it is a great proof of democracy and freedom that those who have different opinions can speak up for it, even though you and I and virtually every person on these boards would disagree with them and believe that they have their priorities entirely wrong. When they can't do that western society has sunk to the level of the dictator we're trying to get rid of.
